2011 LaCrosse Sailing Club Racing Season Schedule and News:
After a two year hiatus we will be collecting modest race fees. Groups of races can be purchased in Four Packs, Eight Packs, and 16 Packs. Prices respectively are $20, $40, and $80. A Four Pack is four race nights for the board boats or four races for the keel boats, Eight Pack eight race nights (or keel boat races) and so on. Unused race nights (or keel boat races) will carry over into the next racing season. Purchases can be made from Bill Fox or John Zinn at any time. Make a check payable to “Lacrosse Sailing Club”. Please send your boat name and sail number with the payment so we can keep our score sheets up to date.

Or you can pay the first day you race and thereafter to the race committee member on duty. Please don’t force us to bring Guido out of retirement to collect race fees. He’s been relaxing in Vegas these last couple of years and would be pretty grouchy if he had to leave his trophy show girl to attend to business. Funds will be used for the purchase of trophies, engraving on the keelboat trophy, race committee pay and committee boat maintenance. For the board boats we will be using the popular photo trophy format and we need some good photographers to help us. This year we’ll be purchasing a new starting horn, repairing the starting flags, rewiring the running lights, and refurbishing the VHF radio on the committee boat. Some of the smaller marks may need repairs or replacement. Starting sequences and courses will remain the same as last year.
Please check in with the race committee before racing, particularly if you haven’t been in awhile or if it is your first race of the season.
